Academic conferences

Each year, the CSCA aims to deliver academic conferences that advance our understanding of and impact on studying the classical language of architecture. We have collaborated with major international organisations, including the Karolinska Institute in Stockholm and the International Network for Traditional Building & Urbanism (INTBAU), to challenge accepted narratives and design narratives. As a university research centre, we are also committed to exploring diverse architectural histories that have shaped our discipline. We regularly gather with international scholars, curators, archaeologists, architects, and makers to illuminate new facets of ancient, medieval, early modern, and modern approaches to understanding classical architecture.
